Ghana has been been extolled for being the first country  to pay it's Hajj commitment fee for its pilgrims this year.This statement came to light when the Hajj board Chairman Shaikh IC Quaye paid a working visit to Alhaji Alidu Seidu, the MCE Asokore Mampong at his office.The chairman said he led a delegation to Saudi Arabia recently to pay Ghana's commitment fee though he did not disclose the amount they paid. The delegation also met with FLYNAS airline and discussed on the liabilities the Hajj board under the previous government left.He said things are smooth for this year's hajj, he assured. 

Alhaji Alidu Seidu, the municipal Chief executive expressed his gratitude to the Hajj board chairman and called on the Muslim community within the municipality to give their massive support to the NPP government in order to carry out this task successfully.
