Chris Hughton applauds local players in Black Stars’ victory over Liberia

The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has showered praise on the local players who featured for Ghana during the match against Liberia on Tuesday, September 12.

The international friendly took place at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In this encounter, Coach Chris Hughton demonstrated his confidence in the local talent by granting a starting role to Fatawu Hamidu, the defender from Medeama SC.

Additionally, he introduced Jonathan Sowah, a striker from Medeama SC, in the second half to bolster the Black Stars’ attacking force.

Following Ghana’s 3-1 victory at the end of the 90 minutes, Coach Chris Hughton expressed his satisfaction with the performances of these two players.

He specifically praised Jonathan Sowah, noting that the striker made a significant impact and uplifted the team when he came on the field.
